Delete your TruePath account

In-app deletion (preferred)

The fastest way to delete your TruePath account is from inside the app:

  1. Open the TruePath app and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile photo (top-right) → Settings.
  3. Scroll to AccountDelete account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and the data listed below are removed within 30 days.

Email request (alternative)

If you can't access the app, email hello@truepath.services from the address tied to your TruePath account with the subject Delete my account. We action requests within five business days.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email, phone number, and address
  • Profile photo and bio
  • Saved dogs (for owners) or walker profile, services, and availability (for walkers)
  • Booking history, walk GPS routes, and walk update photos
  • Chat messages
  • Push-notification tokens and device identifiers
  • Reviews you wrote about the other party

What is kept, and for how long

We keep a minimal record only where law requires it. Specifically:

  • Financial transaction records (Stripe payment IDs, payout amounts, GST records) are retained for 7 years to meet Australian tax-law obligations.
  • Reviews left by the other party about you are anonymised but kept on the matched walker/owner's history so their record stays intact.
  • Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (e.g. number of walks completed in a region) are kept indefinitely.

Third parties

We also instruct the following processors to delete your data when you delete your TruePath account:

  • Supabase — auth user record, profile rows
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — push tokens
  • Stripe — customer object (payment records retained per the law cited above; card details were never stored by TruePath)
